In the metal stamping sector, we were involved in the development of a new automation system for a pickling plant, commissioned by a well-known company operating in the industry. The project represented a significant challenge, both from a technical perspective and in terms of tight deadlines, requiring a high level of coordination and optimization of activities.
Following an in-depth analysis of the entire plant and specific production requirements, we developed a complete automation system designed to ensure efficiency, control, and safety across all operational phases. Our contribution included the development of management, supervision, and remote control software, enabling advanced and centralized plant operation.
At the same time, we handled the design and construction of electrical panels, electrical schematics, and on-board wiring, ensuring a reliable and fully integrated infrastructure. A key role was also played by the management of the pneumatic system, including the control of valves and associated systems, essential for the proper functioning of the process.
The plant automation was further enhanced through motion systems for managing automated movements, ensuring precision and operational continuity.
Particular attention was given to safety: we implemented an advanced safety management system including segregated areas with controlled access, gates dedicated to authorized operators, and presence detection systems. During inspection phases, the machinery automatically switches to reduced-speed operation, while laser barriers (laser scanners) allow controlled shutdown in case of unauthorized access, ensuring maximum operator safety.
The main challenge was meeting the strict deadlines required by the client while optimizing every phase of the production process. The result is a highly efficient, safe, and fully integrated plant aligned with production needs.
